Architectural Engineer / Inspector – Building Construction

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Architectural Engineer / Inspector to join our construction projects in Iraq. The role involves ensuring that all architectural works meet approved drawings, specifications and international quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on‑site inspections of architectural elements such as finishes, façades, partitions, ceilings and waterproofing.
• Verify that all works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications and method statements.
• Monitor site activities, enforce quality standards and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Review and approve material submittals related to architectural works.
• Prepare inspection reports, snag lists and other documentation, identifying defects and tracking corrective actions.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants and site teams to obtain approvals and schedule inspections.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
• 5–7 years of experience in building construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of architectural inspection standards and finishing works.
• Experience with QA/QC procedures and site inspections.
• Familiarity with international standards such as ASTM, BS and ISO.
